Unit 10 final blog

Hello everyone, this is week 10 and the final blog for the course. In this blog we are to look at our self  assessment from unit 3 and track progress or not. We in unit 3 I had assessed my physical well being at a  5, and it is same. My psychological assessment was a 6 and I have been able to increase it to a 8, as well as my spiritual well-being was assessed at a 6 and is now at an 8. This was the goal I had for the remainder of the course. My plan is to  continue with the daily meditation increase the yoga and am determined to begin walking on the treadmill.

During this course we were enlightened that Human flourishing was possible for all to achieve if we just take the next step in our conscious awareness. Knowing this makes it almost impossible to return to thinking of wellness as we once did. Wellness does not just mean the body, it includes our mind and soul, and if we do not find balance and create harmony within these areas we will not achieve human flourishing.
The first steps on this path to continue practicing the subtle mind and loving kindness meditations.

I wish peace health and happiness to all.

  1. I have improved in all the areas, my spiritual, psychological and physical well-being have all increased a point or two and I can truly say that I have been implementing the goals I set for myself into my daily life and it has been extremely beneficial. That's awesome that your spiritual and psychological well-being both increased from a 6 to an 8. Just keep using the valuable information we have learned throughout this course and I am sure you can get your physical well-being to increase as well. I have been doing the subtle mind exercise every night before I go to bed and I do not know how I ever lived without it, it has truly helped me to sleep better. I used to never sleep or sleep for an hour or two then try to get back to sleep for an hour or two only to wake up again. Now I can get rest and sleep soundly through the entire night. This has had a positive impact on all areas of my life for if I am tired I am not going to be the best that I can be. Wellness definitely does not mean just the body. Such as, I am working to be a substance abuse counselor and if I only treat the physical aspects of my client and never assess the underlying issues then my client will have more of a chance at relapsing for the issue that caused them to abuse substances was never treated. I wish you the best in all that you do.
